Blogtober Day 1: Fall Lifestyle Favorites

Blogtober

Happy first day of Halloween – just kidding, well mostly. I am very, very excited for it to finally be spooky season & will be posting for Blogtober. I will not be doing 31 Nights of Horror posts, I will wrap up each blog with my movie recommendation & posting to Instagram primarily for that! I rewatch a lot of the same movies from year to year & just don’t know how interesting it is to rehash anyway, today’s post is all about some fall’ish lifestyle favorites. Enjoy!

Casaluna Bedding from Target: I think this was a summer launch at Target but also I hadn’t been in Target for over 6 months & have no idea. The sheets come in a few different materials including linen and jersey – these grey sheets are the jersey. They are soft, stretchy, not too warm but not too cool – I just love them. The two big pillows came in linen shams, they are so comfy & I really want the linen comforter but have been waiting since I don’t really use comforters. The knit blanket has been great for summer & just enough for this cool weather – the only thing that I don’t like about it is that it snags on most anything! I really love this collection, I hope that Target continues to stock it.

David’s Tea Juniper Joy: Is it fall without tea? I will drink any tea, a few weeks ago I was using up a bunch of Christmas flavors & finally got to open this one. It’s a black tea with notes of lemongrass, blackberry & apple – the juniper isn’t really the standout note. It’s light & delicious, I think juniper berries have something in them that make you tired so I only drink this at night.

Threshold Sandalwood & Smoke Candle: I don’t purchase candles too often anymore but usually treat myself to one seasonal candle if I can find one that I really enjoy. Typically, I would purchase Bonfire by Woodwick but apparently, Target doesn’t carry them anymore & I’m not sure who does. This candle has a similar scent but smells more like a fireplace fire…if that makes sense. I prefer woodwick candles because of the crackle & this one does not disappoint. Though it is very small & already half gone!

Stars & Above Sleep Cardigan: I purchased this last winter & believe that I included it in a favorites post. It’s still a favorite, I hope that the brand releases something similar this year. It’s just the right weight for layering over pretty much anything, I wear it constantly.

Airwick Cinnamon Apple Plugins: Can you tell that I was splurging at Target recently? I put these in my bathrooms, I don’t even like apple scented stuff but these smell amazing – definitely more cinnamon than anything. Very potent too, the scent definitely carries throughout the entire apartment.

Skull Candy Wireless Earbuds: I thought that I had found the perfect earbuds last winter but unfortunately, they only lasted a few months & then wouldn’t charge. I realized that I probably needed to invest in a better quality pair rather than saving money. I found these, on sale (still saved money), at Target & I really like them. The sound quality is great, the only complaint is that you can’t charge one while using one – I don’t usually use both earbuds so I like being able to rotate them so that one is always fully charged. Other than that, they’re pretty great!

Honestly, I think that this pandemic thing really worked in Target’s favor – aside from the being able to stay open, once those of us who hadn’t been doing any leisure shopping finally wandered back in, we probably all went wild binge shopping. I got my fix & have vowed to stay out of Target for the foreseeable future 😀 I’m doing pretty well, I have not even been in to look at their Halloween decor! Anyway, let me know what you are loving this fall & I hope that you are happy & healthy & just doing the best you can 🧡

Pieces NFI Regular

Kiss the Girls (1997) Forensic detective Alex Cross is tasked with finding his niece’s kidnapper which ultimately leads him on the trail for Casanova, a serial kidnapper and murderer who holds young girls hostage only to release them to their doom. It’s a twisty, turny kind of thriller & the ending is pretty shocking!
